Reverse Mortgage Counseling

NCOA offers reverse mortgage counseling.  If you or someone you know is considering a reverse mortgage, you must get counseling from a government-approved agency.

Our Reverse Mortgage Counseling Services Network is one of nine national counseling groups approved by the U.s. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Counselors can help you evaluate the pros and cons of a reverse mortgage; apply for public and private benefits and find services in your community that help you stay independent longer.

A reverse mortgage allows homeowners aged 62 and older to convert a portion of their home equity into cash value while they continue to live at home for as long as they want.
