The Arc of Greater Prince William provides Vocational Skills Advancement Center (VOSAC). This is a day support program that offers instruction to individuals with a developmental disability in daily living activities, self-care, physical coordination, and socialization. The Center also offers a variety of opportunities for community integration. Participants have an opportunity to become involved in community service through volunteer work.
The Center provides the Little Creek Mobile Crew Services which are small crews that will provide janitorial services at various locations. Employees will learn vocational and social skills that may enable them to work in more competitive and independent jobs. The Spinaweb program, located in Occoquan, employs weavers producing woven fabric that is made into fashionable clothing and items such as placemats, rugs, holiday gifts, etc. Contact Debra Vermillion at (703) 491-7422 or email spinaweb@arcgpw.org for more information.
