Who We Are

The mission of Office of Minority Health (OMH) is to improve the health of racial and ethnic populations through the development of effective health policies and programs that help to eliminate disparities in health.



The Office of Minority Health has a Resource Center which serves as a national resource and referral services on minority health issues. Mailing Address is Resource Center, P.O. Box 37337, Washington, D.C. 20013-7337.



The center collects and distributes information on a wide variety of health topics, including substance, cancer, heart disease, violence, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and infant mortality. The Resource Center also facilitates the exchange of information on minority health issues.



The center also offers customized database searches, publications, mailing lists, referrals, and more regarding American Indian and Alaska Native, African American, Asian American and Pacific Islanders, and Hispanic populations.
