Emergency Home Repair and Ramp Program

Foothills Housing Corporation  (FHC) formerly Rapidan Better Housing Corporation) offers an Emergency Home Repair Program to improve housing conditions and opportunities for low and very low-income Virginians in the counties of Clark, Culpeper, Fauquier, Frederick, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Warren. The program provides funds to remove imminent health and safety hazards, and/or barriers to habitability in their homes.  Eligible repairs can include plumbing, structural, electrical, roofing, wheelchair ramps, and handicapped accessible appliances.

FHC offers a Ramp Program in the counties of Clark, Culpeper, Fauquier, Frederick, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Warren.  The Ramp Program helps with both wooden ramps and sometimes with temporary aluminum ramps.   Requests for the installation of permanent wheelchair ramps and other accessibility modifications may be made through the Emergency Home and Accessibility Repair Program (EHARP).
