Who We Are

disAbility Law Center of Virginia (dLCV), formerly Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy (VOPA), advocates for individuals with disabilities to (1) have equal access to public accommodations; (2) be free from employment discrimination; (3) have access to healthcare, education, etc.

Due to limited resources, it is not possible for dLCV to provide legal services or direct representation to everyone who calls for assistance. dLCV provides several levels of support and assistance. dLCV may provide you with information, written material or limited technical assistance that will assist you in speaking for yourself.  Staff will also refer you to other agencies or resources when appropriate.
