Equipment Recycling

Equipment Connection is the disAbility Resource Center’s free adaptive medical equipment reuse program. Recycling durable medical equipment is accepted if it is new or gently used.  Equipment Connection will clean and repair the equipment and provide it at no cost.  An individual with a disability, whether permanent or temporary and limited income can be considered for assistance. 

 A referral from a health care professional is definitely needed if obtaining a wheelchair or scooter for long-term use. If approved, individuals are provided the equipment they need, provided it is in stock, and are able to keep it for their use.  After the equipment has served its use, the individuals are asked to donate the equipment back to the Equipment Connection.
